Why is the sound level low when I connect a device to the TRS input terminals?

Have you connected a device with unbalanced output? The TRS input terminals only support balanced inputs. Instead, connect a device that supports balanced output.
To connect a device with unbalanced output, use the RCA inputs or the stereo mini-jack input.
