Important notice to those who have purchased an RMX-1000
Thank you for buying this Pioneer product.
Pioneer has updated the firmware in order to improve this unit’s specifications.
With this update, the MIDI button type names in the operating instruc- tions have changed, as described below.

The firmware version number after the update is 2.00 or greater.
Furthermore, Pioneer offers a plug-in allowing functions of this unit to be run on music creation software. In addition to the VST/AU plug-in, Pioneer has also begun providing an RTAS® plug-in.
Please download the plug-ins from the Pioneer DJ global site below before using this unit.
The plug-in allows the RMX-1000 to be used as a controller.

MIDI assignment map

- “CC” is the abbreviation of “control change”. A control change is a type of MIDI signal used to transmit various types of control infor- mation, such as timbre, volume, etc.
“Note” is a type of MIDI signal used when pressing or releasing notes on a piano or other keyboard.
- On this unit, values from 0 to 127 are output as CCs or Notes when controls, buttons or switches are operated.
- In addition to CC and Note messages, the RMX-1000 also uses System Exclusive Message. For details on System Exclusive Message, see the website below.
1. When the [RELEASE FX] selector switch and the [SETTING] selec- tor switch are slid, “OFF” is sent from the switch that has not yet been switched, “ON” from the switch that has been switched.
2. Sends the [X-PAD] position information.
3. OFF (when not touched) = 0, ON (when touched) =127
4. In the general-purpose MIDI control mode, the MIDI button type cannot be selected.
5. When in the RMX-1000 control mode: VINYL BRAKE = 0, ECHO = 64, BACK SPIN = 127

6. When in the RMX-1000 control mode: DEFAULT = 0, USER = 127
