Input sound is distorted, even though the SOFT LIMITER is ON.
SOFT LIMITER is an analog limiter intended to avoid digital clipping due to excessive input. This has the effect of mildly distorting signals that are close to the maximum input of the AD converter, suppressing hard clipping. Turning this function ON when receiving input from instruments with a broad dynamic range prevents unwanted distortion. Conversely, waveforms that have been prepared to be similar to a sine wave may seem to be distorted due to soft clipping effect. Try turning this effect ON/OFF depending on the sound source or instrument to input and choose which seems best.
