Can I input sound from a smartphone or portable music player?

You can use a Y-cable (with two stereo mini phone jacks) to input sound from these sources. Since output from smartphones or portable music players is generally low, turn the volume on the source device up, and then turn up the INPUT LEVEL knob on this unit, keeping the volume within a range that does not distort the sound.
