MIDI control is not possible.

1. Connect the computer you want to control with MIDI signals to this unit by USB cable.
2. If necessary, set the mixer mode from UTILITY.
When the mixer mode is set to "XDJ-R1", the sound can be mixed with the XDJ-R1's mixer. (In this case MIDI control is not possible with XDJ-R1’s mixer.)
When the mixer mode is set to "PC", the sound can be mixed with the DJ software.

When using Virtual DJ LE, switch the mixer mode to [PC].
3. Press this unit's MIDI button, then press the rotary selector.
4. Make the audio settings on the DJ application.
