Gradient Border

The device connected to the CV/GATE terminal does not produce notes with correct pitch.

Three main factors can cause this and there are three possible countermeasures.

1.There are two CV standards: V/OCT and Hz/V.
Hz/V: CV output represents an octave of pitch by doubling voltage
V/OCT: 1V represents one octave
Due to the differences in the range or changes in pitches for CV voltages, you can't play at the right pitch if the CV setting of the connected instruments are different.
Please check the settings in the GLOBAL menu CV Settings category to match the specifications of the CV-connected devices.
2. In the V/OCT method, you can set the Reference Note when the CV voltage is 0 V.
Edit [CV 1 Ref. Note] or [CV2 Ref. Note] settings of CV Settings category in the GLOBAL menu according to the specifications of the CV-connected devices.
Reference Note is set in semitones.
To fine-tune the pitch in cent, use the Fine Tune on the CV-connected equipment.
You cannot change Reference Note in the Hz/V method. You'll need to change fine-tune the pitch on the CV-connected equipment.
3. Because CV inputs and outputs analog signals, it is easily influenced by noise due to power supply or cables, etc. and the pitch may go slightly out of tune. However, this is not a failure but a phenomenon peculiar to analog signals.
Some analog synthesizers may take some time to stabilize the pitch, so please make sure that the pitch is stable enough to start performance when you use the unit connected with an analog synthesizer.
