When I connect a CV/GATE terminal and turned the SQUID on and off, the connected analog synthesizer is unmuted.

When turning on/off the unit, minimize the volume of the analog synthesizer connected to the CV/GATE terminal. Depending on the settings of the unit, the GATE may work and the analog synthesizer may be unmuted.
