The sequencer does not work when using this unit with an external device.

A. When you perform in sync with the SQUID as a master anan external unit as a slave.
The master clock may not be set correctly.
Go to the GLOBAL menu > [Sync Common] setting category > [Sync Source] and select [Internal].

B. When you perform in sync with this unit as a slave anan external unit as a master.
It is possible that the SQUID is not correctly receiving the master clock and start/stop signals from external devices.
Please check the following.
1. Is the master clock receiving terminal set correctly?
Set the [Sync Source] setting in the [Sync Common] setting category in the GLOBAL menu to the master clock receiving terminal.
2. Are the external master device anthe SQUID connected correctly?
Please check whethethe master clock receiving terminal of the SQUID anthe output terminal of the external master device are connected correctly.
If [DIN SYNC] is the master clock, go to the GLOBAL menu > [DIN SYNC] setting category > [OUT2 Mode]and select [IN].
3. Are master clock or start/stop signals coming out of the external master device?
Please check that the setting of the external master device.
For the settings regarding sync of external devices, please refer to the instruction manual for your device.
4. Are you using correct connection cables?
For DIN SYNC terminal, please use the MIDI (DIN) cable with the 1 PIN and 3 PIN.
For CLOCK terminals, Use a stereo mini-jack cable.
5. Have you disabled the receiving settings of the START/STOP and CLOCK signals for MIDI input on the SQUID?
Please set values for the [MIDI IN] setting category in the GLOBAL menu correctly.
6. Aren't you set [Sync Source] to [CLOCK] and [IN Sync Mode] to [GATE] ?
If you set [IN Sync Mode] to [GATE], set [Sync Source] to other than [CLOCK], and input master clock into terminals other than CLOCK terminal.
