DJM-REC doesn't recognize the connected DJ mixer. Why not?

Follow the steps below to check DJM‑REC is connected correctly.
  1. Close DJM‑REC.
  1. Turn on the power of the DJM‑REC supported DJ mixer.
  1. Take an MFi‑certified USB cable that supports data transfer, and connect the DJ mixer to your iPhone or iPad. If connected correctly, the battery icon in the upper-right corner of your iPhone or iPad screen will light up.
  1. Launch DJM‑REC. *Do not launch DJM‑REC until you reach this step.
  1. Check “DJM DIGITAL” is displayed in the upper right corner of the REC screen.
  1. Check the level meter fluctuates with the audio output from the DJ mixer.
  1. Ensure the MULTI I/O ON/OFF button on the DJ mixer doesn't light up.

When audio from your DJ mixer isn't inputting into DJM‑REC, turn off the DJ mixer's power, wait a few minutes, then try the above steps again.
Note: If you move DJM‑REC to the background during the above procedure or before you start recording, audio may not be input to the DJ mixer. Keep DJM‑REC running at all times. Note: The DJM‑V5 is not compatible with iPhones or iPads equipped with a Lightning connector, so they won't be recognized. Please connect the DJM‑V5 with an iPhone or iPad equipped with a USB Type‑C port. Be sure to use a USB cable that supports data transfer. MFi certification isn't needed
