Sound is distorted.
Check the following.
① Are the [MASTER LEVEL] and [TRIM] controls set to the correct position? Adjust the [MASTER LEVEL] and [TRIM] controls by checking the master level indicator and channel level indicator.
② Is the sound level for the input terminal set appropriately? Set the sound level for each input terminal appropriately for the device to be connected.
③ Is a monaural cable connected to the [MASTER 1] output terminal, or is the terminal set to unbalanced output with an XLR-RCA converter cable (converter adaptor)? If set to unbalanced output, it may lower the sound quality and/or result in noise. Use the [MASTER 1] output terminals as balanced output. For connection with an unbalanced input (such as RCA), use the [MASTER 2] output terminals.
④ If the sound is still distorted even if the input/output level is adjusted, the devices connected to the [MASTER 1] and [MASTER 2] output terminals may exceed the maximum permissible input.
In this case, set the master output to an appropriate level using the MASTER ATT level selector switch.
-6 dB lowers the output level by 50%, and -12 dB lowers it to 25% of the original level.
This setting is not linked to the master level indicator. For instructions on changing the settings, see “Changing the settings” in Operating Instructions.
