When Serate DJ is started on a Windows computer which DJM-S9 is connected to, “NO COMPATIBLE DJ DEVICE CONNECTED” is displayed and the virtual deck is not displayed on the screen.
1. The dedicated driver software must be installed before using this unit connected to the computer.
-> Troubleshooting > DJM-S9 is not recognized even when Serato DJ is launched.
2. DJM-S9 must be connected to the computer correctly. For details, see “Connections” in Operating Instructions. If it still cannot be connected properly, close Serate DJ, disconnect and connect the USB cable, then start the DJ software again.

3. Check the sound settings of your computer.
Windows computer sound settings
1) Connect DJM-S9 to your computer and turn it power on.
Go [ControlPanel] - [Hardware and Sound] and click [Sound]
2) If PIONEER DJM-S9 has been "Default Device", go to 3).
3) Choose other sound device rather than PIONEER DJM-S9 and click "Set as Default Device". Close the window by clicking "OK".
4) Close the control panel and resart your computer.
Mac Audio MIDI setting reload
1) Connect DJM-S9 to your computer and turn it power on.
2) Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].
3) Open [Audio Device] window. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] windows pops up. Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Window].
4) [MIDI Studi] window opens up, click [PIONEER DJM-S9] icon. The icon turns to blue color, click [Remove Device]. "PIONEER DJM-S9" icon dissapers and comes back again.
5) Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and turn DJM-S9 power off.
6) Turn DJM-S9 power on and run DJ Application.
