DJM-S9 is not recognized even when Serato DJ is launched.

Please check all the following settings.
1. Is the driver software installed?
Please see the operating instructions for details of installation procedures.

2. Does your computer recognize DJM-S9?
Check if the firmware version of DJM-S9 is displayed by the following method.
-Windows 8.1/8:
Click the [App View]>[DJM-S9 Setting Utility] > [About]
-Windows 7:
Click the Windows [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [Pioneer] > [DJM-S9] > [DJM-S9 Setting Utility] > [About]
-Mac OS X:
While pressing the [option] key, open the apple menu and select [System Preferences...] > [Hardware] > [USB].

3. Is the USB cable properly connected?
⇒ Please connect your computer to DJM-S9 using the USB cable enclosed with the unit.

4. Don’t you use a USB hub?
⇒ You cannot use a USB hub. Please ensure that your computer is directly connected to a USB port which can supply the power.

5. Aren’t other applications running?
Please close all the other applications such as a screen saver and resident software.
(When you close antivirus software, please make sure to disconnect the Internet access to secure your computer.)

6. Aren’t other USB devices than DJM-S9 connected to your computer?
Please remove an external hard disk drive or a key board, if applicable. Then, please check the connection only using the internal hard disk drive.

7. Please connect the cable to other USB ports for testing if you have multiple USB ports on your computer.

8. Check the sound settings of your computer.
Windows computer sound settings
1) Connect DJM-S9 to your computer and turn it power on.
Go [ControlPanel] - [Hardware and Sound] and click [Sound]

2) If PIONEER DJM-S9 has been "Default Device", go to 3).

3) Choose other sound device rather than PIONEER DJM-S9 and click "Set as Default Device". Close the window by clicking "OK".

4) Close the control panel and resart your computer.

Mac Audio MIDI setting reload
1) Connect DJM-S9 to your computer and turn it power on.
2) Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].
3) Open [Audio Device] window. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] windows pops up. Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Window].

4) [MIDI Studi] window opens up, click [PIONEER DJM-S9] icon. The icon turns to blue color, click [Remove Device]. "PIONEER DJM-S9" icon dissapers and comes back again.

5) Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and turn DJM-S9 power off.
6) Turn DJM-S9 power on and run DJ Application.
