Check the settings as follows:

1. Check the [BEAT FX ASSIGN] button in the BEAT FX section to see if the channel you wish to apply the effect to is selected.
2. Make sure one of the [FX FREQUENCY] buttons is lit (LOW, MID, or HI).
3. Ensure the [LEVEL DEPTH] knob is in the proper position.
