Follow the steps below.

1. Check the [BUILT-IN], [EXT 1], and [EXT 2] buttons are blinking.
2. Make sure the [SEND] knob of the channel you want to apply the effect to is in the appropriate position.
3. Make sure the fader of the channel you want to apply the effect to is not in the bottom position.
4. Check the [SIZE/FEEDBACK], [TIME], and [TONE] knobs are in the appropriate positions.

Follow either of the steps below (choose a procedure depending on what you want to do).

■ To mix the FX sounds into the MASTER output
5. Check the [MASTER MIX] button is lit.
6. Check the [MASTER MIX LEVEL] knob is in the proper position.
If [MASTER MIX] is turned on, sounds connected to the RETURN of [EXT 1] and [EXT 2] will also be mixed, even if [BUILT-IN] is selected.

■ To input the FX sound to another channel
5. Check whethethe input setting of the channel you want to input the FX sound to is set to [BUILT-IN], [EXT 1], or [EXT 2].
6. Check the fader of the channel the FX sound is input to is not at the bottom.
7. Check the [MASTER MIX] button isn't lit.
