When I start rekordbox, rekordbox does not recognize the DDJ-RZ.

① [Windows]

Reset sound settings.

(1) Connect DDJ-RZ to your computer and turn it power on.

Go [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] and click [Sound]

 

(2) If PIONEER DDJ-RZ has been "Default Device", go to 3.

(3) Choose other sound device rather than PIONEER DDJ-RZ and click "Set as Default Device".

Close the window by clicking "OK".

(4) Close the control panel and resart your computer.

　

[Mac]

Reload Audio MIDI settings.

(1) Connect DDJ-RZ to your computer and turn it power on.

(2) Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].

(3) Open [Audio Device] window. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] windows pops up.

Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Window].

(4) [MIDI Studi] window opens up, click [PIONEER DDJ-RZ] icon. The icon turns to blue color, click [Remove Device].

"PIONEER DDJ-RZ" icon dissapers and comes back again.

(5) Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and turn DDJ-RZ power off.

(6) Turn DDJ-RZ power on and run DJ Application.

　

② Is “MIDI controller setting” of DDJ-RZ set to “Forcefully using the unit as the general MIDI controller”?

Enter the utilities mode, and press the “KEY LOCK” button on the left deck to turn it off if the button lights. For details, see “Changing the settings” in Operating Instructions.
