White noise (a slight electrical noise that sounds like a "squeak") occurs while I play music at low volume when the XDJ-AZ is connected to speakers via SonicLink. Why?

This unit is designed for high-volume playback, so, it's normal for a small amount of white noise to be generated when playing music at low volume.
