(macOS) How do I stream the DJ Perform screen on OBS when using DDJ-FLX4 and rekordbox?

This explanation is based on the examples of macOS Ventura 13 and OBS Studio 28.1.2 (as of May 2023).

• macOS security settings

Go to Settings, open [Privacy & security], and select [Screen Recording].
Turn on OBS.

• rekordbox Preferences settings

Open [Audio]tab. For [Audio], select DDJ-FLX4.
Add a checkmark to [Output audio from the computer's built-in speakers and your DJ equipment (PC MASTER OUT).].

For [Output channels], select DDJ-FLX4.

• OBS settings

Click File > Settings > Audio.
Select Disabled for all the items under Mic/Auxiliary Audio.

In the Sources window, click the + button (Add source) and select macOS Screen Capture.
Open Properties.

In the Sources window and select macOS Screen Capture.
Open Properties.

Select the following.
Capture Method:Window Capture
Window:rekordbox
*When streaming the rekordbox screen or audio

 

Note: The OBS streaming operation with rekordbox is not guaranteed for all operating systems.
