It is used after a long interval, and the audio sounds strange.

Adherence of foreign substances, corrosion of cantilever by the foreign substances, or deterioration (change over time) of damper (rubber) supporting the cantilever may have occurred. The damper is also a consumable part as well as the stylus, and the traceability deteriorates over time.

Clean the stylus, and if it does not resolve the problem, replace the stylus.
