I am trying to disconnect a cable, but I cannot loosen the plug’s collet chuck. What should I do?
Using two sets of pliers or other tools, hold the gold-colored section at the base in place with one set of pliers and turn the outer section clockwise with the other set. Loosen the collet chuck slowly, in the same way as you would with your fingers.
Due to the collet chuck’s structure, it is hard to loosen if has been tightened too strongly. When tightening the collet chuck, turn gently with your fingers until it stops, then turn about 1/4 to 1/3 rotation further.
