The stylus skips when playing records. Why?

The possible causes are as follows:
1. The cartridge isn't attached to the headshell properly, and/or the headshell isn't properly connected to the tone arm.
-See the Instruction Manual > [Setup] > [Playing using the stylus].
2. The tone arm balance and/or stylus pressure aren't set correctly.
-See the adjustment methods in the Instruction Manual > [Setup] > [Playing using the stylus].
Note: When using a cartridge weighing 9.5 g or less, the sub weight isn't needed.
3. The record is dirty, damaged, or worn.
-Either clean the record with an appropriate cleaner or use a record in better condition.
4. The stylus tip is worn away or broken.
-Replace the stylus with a new one.
5. The main unit is tilted.
-Place the unit on a level surface that's free of external vibrations. Turn the insulator to finely adjust the level.
6.The Magvel Clamp is set to [LIGHT]
-Remove the Magvel Clamp or turn it clockwise ([HEAVY] side) to a position where the stylus doesn't skip.
For details, see the Instruction Manual > [Setup] > [Installation].
