Can I use the Magvel Clamp on a regular analog record? If so, what are the advantages?

Yes you can, but not with a "45 rpm" (jukebox-style) record, which has a large center hole.

Using the Magvel Clamp with the Heavy setting has the same effect as using a stabilizer.
