The DDJ-SP1 is not recognized by the computer.

Make sure of following contents.

For Mac OS X:

Open the Apple menu while pressing the [Option] key and select "System Profiler". Select the [USB] from the [Hardware] to display the name of the controller. Check "Pioneer DDJ-SP1".

For Windows 7:

Select Control Panel from Start menu. Then, select [Device Manager] from [Hardware and Sound]. Open [Sound, video and game controller].

Check "Pioneer DDJ-SP1".

If "Pioneer DDJ-SP1" is not appeared, try following operations.

1. Reconnect the USB cable to both your computer and this unit.

2. Restart your computer.

3. Are you using a USB hub ?

USB hubs can not be used.

4. Are you using other USB devices other than DDJ-SP1 ?

Detach external hard discs and external keyboard. Make sure DDJ-SP1 is recognized using only internal hard disc. (Disconnect Serato DJ-certifiable devices temporarily. Make sure DDJ-SP1 is recognized by connecting only DDJ-SP1.)

5. If there are a few USB ports on your computer, make sure DDJ-SP1 is recognized using other USB port.
