By lowering the buffer size setting, the latency (the period from when DDJ-SX3 is operated until the sound is output) can be shortened. If there are interruptions in the sound, increase the buffer size, but note that this makes the latency longer. Set the buffer size to the minimum value at which no interruptions in the sound occur.
For Mac users
The buffer size can be adjusted in SETUP of Serato DJ Pro.
For Windows users
Click the Audio tab in SETUP of Serato DJ Pro and then click the [LAUNCH DRIVER PANEL] button to display the ASIO settings utility screen. On this screen, you can set the buffer size and kernel buffer size.
Follow the procedure below to set the buffer size to the minimum value at which no interruptions in the sound occur.
Check that no interruptions in the sound occur with the default setting (buffer size: 256 samples).
[When no interruptions in the sound occur at the default setting]
1. Start [DDJ_SX3 ASIO Settings Utility] and set the buffer size to the minimum value at which no interruptions in the sound occur.
2. Then change the value to [2] in [Kernel Buffer Size] and check that no interruptions in the sound occur.
3. If no interruptions in the sound occur, set the buffer size to the minimum value at which no interruptions in the sound occur. If interruptions in the sound occur, change the value to [3] in [Kernel Buffer Size].
[When interruptions in the sound occur with the default setting]
1. Start [DDJ_SX3 ASIO Settings Utility] and change the value to [4] in [Kernel Buffer Size].
2. Set the buffer size to the minimum value at which no interruptions in the sound occur.
