This unit is not recognized after it has been connected to a computer.

Check the following items:
1. Is the driver software installed? To use this unit, you must install the dedicated driver software. For the installation procedure, check the operating instructions.
2. Is your computer recognizing DDJ-SZ2?
On the About tab in [DDJ-SZ2 Setting Utility], check that the DDJ-SZ2 firmware version is displayed.
-Windows: Click the [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [Pioneer] > [DDJ_SZ2] > [DDJ-SZ2 Setting Utility].
-Mac OS: Click [Applications] > [Pioneer] > [DDJ-SZ2] > [DDJ-SZ2 Setting Utility].
3. Are the USB cables connected properly?
⇒ Use the included USB cable or a USB 2.0 cable to connect the computer and DDJ-SZ2.
4. Are you using a USB hub?
⇒ USB hubs cannot be used. Connect this unit to the USB terminal of a computer that can supply power.
5. Are other applications running?
Close all other applications including the screen saver and resident software.
(When quitting various security software, etc. make sure to disconnect the Internet connection to ensure the safety of your computer.)
6. Are USB devices other than DDJ-SZ2 connected?
⇒ Remove external hard disks and the keyboard (for some models), etc. to check the status with only the built-in hard disk.
7. If your computer has more than one USB terminal, check using a different USB terminal.
8. Check the sound settings on the computer side
⇒ Go to Troubleshooting > When I start Serato DJ, Serato DJ does not recognize the DDJ-SZ2..
