Can SACDs be played?

No, the CDJ-2000 does not support SACDs.

SACDs have an SACD layer with high sound quality and a CD layer with the same sound quality as a CD. The CDJ-2000 plays the CD layer, so it does offer the functions and quality that SACDs can provide.
